This is one solely for the men reading this blog. We spend a lot of time talking about sex or thinking about sex. We can’t help it, it is how we are geared up. There is also really good arguments as to why nearly everything we do, everything that drives us is about sex. There is an underlying motivation behind all the action that we take, and there is a really good chance that for men many of the reasons that we do what we do all come down to sex.
Money
- We work to make money so that we can buy things for ourselves and have fun. We do it for us, right? Wrong. Let’s go through the list.
- Buy a fast car: We want it because we love it. It makes us feel like James Bond... and James bond always gets the girl. Cars are status symbols that show how much money and power we have. Girls want a man that can move in the world and make things happen. The fast expensive car is an expression of that. It makes us feel great – because it makes us feel like women are going to be attracted to us. It was for the sex that we bought the car.
- Buy an expensive watch: Same as above. If we can afford to blow 10k on a watch, what do you think we could afford to spend on the woman by our side? A shit ton is what. We want the watch because we want to show off, to peacock, to show we have money and lots of it.
- Buy a house: Oh my god this is like classic Beta nest building here. The house means we have space to house and raise a family – something that a woman would very much desire in a man.
- Buy ANYTHING: It is for the status symbol, or to make us look attractive like with clothes and shoes, or perhaps it is just so that people can see that we have spent the money, proving that we have the money in the first place.
Prostitution is a formalized version of it, and in many ways there is something to be said for the nice clean honest transaction that occurs. We exchange money for sex, and then we are done. There is no doubt or confusion as to what is going on. Do not doubt however that this happens all the time as well in the day to day world, where people will go out with other people for the money in exchange for the sex. It does happen, frequently. I would advise trying to avoid letting it happen to you.
