Coronavirus and Sex

31 Mar 2020 - 18:26

The Coronavirus has arrived and with it an unusual time of social distancing, working from home and all the shops being shut down. For the first time, many people are being forced to not step out of their homes and houses for fear of catching a disease that may go on to cause them serious, life-threatening, complications. With all this going on, people have been turning to the internet to try and find the answers to the questions that they are looking for. Recent Google searches include “how to avoid coronavirus”, “coronavirus symptoms” and “coronavirus rules.” A surprisingly large number of people are also using search phrases like “coronavirus sex” or “can sex give you coronavirus.” It is clear that a lot of people want to know how they can manage their sex lives in this time of lockdown, and I can understand why! With everything shut in the evenings, there is more time than ever to booty call your fuck buddy over to your house and get down with it. I also imagine that there are a lot of people that are “working from home” that may not spend all their time working… especially if they are able to have someone in the house with whom they can distract themselves. Daytime sex is can be so much better than night time sex. You are still fresh, the body is awake and full of energy… and you have the knowledge that once you are done, there is time for a break before you do it all again, and again, and maybe even again!

You may also be a little concerned about the coronavirus, and rightly so, and be looking for advice about how to have sex safely in these times. To help you out, here are some top tips for having sex in the time of COVID-19.

Quarantine first, sex afterwards

If someone has had contact with other people, you have no idea if they have the COVID-19 virus. You have to wait 7 days to see if they show symptoms… and the best thing to do is to wait. At this stage any swapping of fluids can transmit the disease, we know that it can be transmitted in saliva for example, so ever with the sex aside it will likely be transmitted during kissing if it is present. The best way to avoid this is to fully quarantine with your sex partner for the recommended period (currently 7 days but please check the latest advice as this is a changing field!), then have the sex afterwards. Be sure to avoid all other period during your quarantine period so that you can be sure that you do not have it. Once this is done – go crazy with each other!

You may be wondering how you are going to fill the 7 days whilst you are waiting? There is a good article here about how to stay sexy with your fuck buddy while social distancing if you want some top tips on how to fill the seven days. Best of luck to you all, and enjoy yourself!
