Is make up sex all it’s cracked up to be?

“I feel more aroused during make up sex because no matter what happened before; we survived it!”
Anonymous woman

The above is a great quote and one that’s shared by many women globally. Make up sex is often described as being wild, passionate, wonderfully messy and more arousing than any other kind. Not even the S&M scene can match make up sex according to some fetishists. Whatever the reason, it does appear that make up sex really is as incredible as everyone says.

We want to know why though.

Make Up VS Break Up
Our colleagues over at F-Buddy UK recently wrote a blog about why break up sex is so good. They broke it down by separating the types of sex into physical and emotional. Make up sex combines both of these elements together almost 100% of the time which would go a long way to explaining why the sex is reported to be so good.

Fear
We thought long and hard about the main reason as to why make up sex is so good and the one word that kept coming back over and over was fear. The fear you experience when you think a relationship is over casual or committed means that your body’s senses are heightened. Your hormone levels increase and you experience something called arousal transfer during the sex. This basically means that all the extra adrenaline that was flooding through your body when you had the fight or disagreement with your partner is transferred to sexual arousal the moment you have the make up sex. This goes a long way to explaining why the make up sex is often cited as ‘the best anyone can get!’

Emotional transfer
Emotions are very dynamic and can be transferred easily between human beings. Make up sex is perhaps the height of emotional transfer. All those negative feelings of fear, resentment, bitterness and more are transferred to positive feelings the moment you start fucking. All the tension is released and your hormones go on a rampage.

Is make up sex better then break up sex?
Many people would say yes, but in a causal relationship it’s safe to say that both types of sex can be as equally arousing.
