It’s easy to get carried away during casual sex. 1. STDs

Unprotected sex exposes you to an increased risk of catching one of them and as the symptoms can take up to years to show, you might not even know you have an infection until the damage is done. A simple way to greatly reduce and avoid the risk of catching an STD is to use a condom during sex. Whilst it does not provide 100% protection from catching an STD or STI it does severely reduce the chances of you getting one.
2. Unplanned Pregnancy
Human beings were put here on earth for one biologically imperative: to go forth and multiply. Of course in the 21st century we should all really be working on scaling the population back a bit. The last thing you want to deal with in a casual relationship is the prospect of a baby. An unwanted pregnancy is both physically and emotionally draining and can destroy people’s lives. There are so many contraceptive methods available to avoid this risk that we kind of feel stupid having to even talk about it. However following a discussion with several young men and women recently, we were all silently appalled at how little they knew about birth control. Condoms, the pill, the coil, spermicidal cream, contraceptive injections and much more are all available to use to prevent any unplanned pregnancy. We would recommend using a combination of contraceptive methods to severely reduce the risk of becoming pregnant. If you’re still unsure over what you should be using, consult with a Doctor.
3. Emotional Damage
Hey, we’re not Cosmopolitan and we’re not going to start lecturing you on how you should treat a fuck buddy in a casual relationship. After all a casual relationship is exactly that; casual. No strings sex is often an integral part to this. However we do realise that sex can lead to emotional complications. The solution is to handle the situation appropriately. A fuck buddy implies exactly that; someone you can meet up and fuck with low to no emotional complications. For example, if someone has written in their profile that they are open to seeing where things go, approach the situation carefully. The person you end up fucking might be hoping for something more from the encounter. We recommend being very clear up front about what you want from your fuck buddy! If you’re looking for just sex, say so. If you want to be bound and ball gagged – say so! If you’re hoping to be exclusive with one person – say so! If you aren’t clear on what you want then it’s unfair on both parties. You could open yourself and any fuck buddy you hook up with to a world of hurt later on.
4. Jealously
This leads on from the last point but it can be extremely destructive. And again it all begins with how honest you are with a fuck buddy. If you start playing games and bragging about how many people you are sleeping with after you’ve told someone you want to be exclusive with them, you can end up causing yourself huge problems. Don’t let yourself get into that situation! Be honest and don’t act like a prick.
