Winter is most definitely here. We have seen our first lot of snow come down – albeit rather slowly and it didn’t stay on the ground for very long. ASOS the clothing company saw a 40% drop in share price, which is partly blamed on the milder weather! It seems people don’t spend as much money on changing into a winter wardrobe when they can get away with staying in their Autumn clothes. Despite the slow start to the winter, it is finally here, and with the drop in temperature comes a change across the board. People don’t like to stay out as late or as long, you will find yourself getting fewer invitations to do things that you do in the warmer weather, and generally, there is a drop in libido. You would think that this would mean that you are less likely to be able to find a fuck buddy or get laid. This could not be further from the truth. The reduction in temperature does seem to make things less sexy on the surface of things. Welcome to March, and what a strange start to the month it has been. Whilst there are a number of people that claim there is no evidence of climate change, that we are having no impact on the warmth of the world, I think that this week has stood as personal testament and evidence that this may not be the case! We have seen a white Christmas morning, clean and beautiful and perfect… and it is March! Not even January!

The cold weather has a strange effect on people in all sorts of ways. People work slower and less productively than they usually do, so output drops. People get lazier and want to do less with their time, this comes from an old hard coded instinct about preserving energy I think in the cold, from our caveman roots. In Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales particularly, everything shuts down. Just as a single leaf on the tracks can cause the rail network to close, so can a little snow stop the country from moving!

When it comes to your relationship with a fuck buddy, this is a double-edged sword. If you already have a fuck buddy then it is a good thing, in fact it is a great thing. There are so many other things that have been cancelled, it leaves more time for sex. The cold makes it feel like the night comes earlier, and that is when you head to bedroom – earlier than usual.
