Adult dating has become more acceptable by society as time has gone on. In this time of social distancing and the Coronavirus, having someone that you can hook up with, without having to devote time and resources to outside of the bedroom, has become more important than ever. We all need sex, it is an important part of a healthy and happy life. However, we don’t necessarily need all the attachments that traditional society tells us come with that sex. If you want a relationship, you can have one, but you do not need to have a relationship to have sex. Having a fuck buddy or a friends with benefits relationship gives you all the bedroom time you need with none of the winning and dinning unless you want that part of it.

For some people, this is a new concept for them to get their heads around. Many people have been brought up indoctrinated to think that the relationship and sex go hand in hand. This is simply not true. The only way to break this is to do it. Once you have had your first successful hookup, once you have slept with your first fuck buddy, the shackles of your previous thinking drop away leaving you free to make the choices that are right for you.

For those of you who have never had a fuck buddy, it can seem like a daunting prospect. Fear not, it is easier than it feels right now. To help you out, here are my top tips for sleeping with a fuck buddy for the first time.

Put aside your expectations

You will go into any sexual meeting with expectations. Try your best not to. Put aside your preconceived notions about what your partner will or will not want. The thing that is most likely to be holding you back is a sense that it will go wrong, that it will not work out. Put that to one side and try and expect it to go well instead! Remember, they want to sleep with you as much as you want to sleep with them, so they want it to go as well as you do!

Fortune favours the bold!

They say you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. In the case of a fuck buddy, if there is someone you like, the only way to 100% guarantee that you will not have sex with them is to not try. If you try, it may not work out, but it also might! The only way to be sure is to try! So give it go. If you see someone, see if they want to hook up. Fortune favours the bold!

Use a condom

Always use a condom. The first time you sleep with someone, the best thing to do is to be safe. No matter what they say about whether they have been tested for STI’s or that they are on the pill… always use a condom. It is the only way to be sure.

Have fun! The first time you have sex with a fuck buddy is a night to remember.
Tue, 31 Mar 2020 17:44:49 +0000 EdBennett 6731 at https://www.f-buddy.com https://www.f-buddy.com/australia/blog/tips-sleeping-fuck-buddy-first-time#comments Friends with benefits 2011 film https://www.f-buddy.com/blog/friends-benefits-2011-film

15 Oct 2015 - 16:53 | Tags: friends with benefits, fuck buddies

The 2011 film friends with benefits with Justin Timberlake and the oh so hot Mila Kunis was billed when it came out as a RomCom. Having now seen it, I would call it more of a ComRom if anything! The focus is on the comedy elements and infact the film itself does a really good job of taking the micky out of Romcom’s as a genre. During the film they have a section where they watch a romantic comedy, which is a heightened version of one. It is infact the worst most over the top romantic comedy ever, with all the cliche’s you would expect from the meeting under the clock at the train station to the chasing the girl with flowers and turning up just before she is about to leave for some other place. It even has a white carriage in it!

For all the film is Hollywood heightened it also does a good job of normalising something that should always have been considered normal. Sex.

There is a taboo when it comes to sex, always has been in our lifestyle. What the film does do is bring across a world where actually it can be normal and healthy. The two main characters, who are friends who effectively meet through work, set up a friends with benefits type of agreement after both being dumped by their respective partners. They start sleeping together on a sex only basis. One of the best things about this is the first sex scene.

When they first jump into bed they are both so adamant to keep emotions out of it, they both feel completely free to be and say what ever they want. They are wonderfully honest with what they want, “Grab my ear” “kiss my neck”. It means that their first time is probably the best first time they have ever had! They are both guiding and helping the other to be the best lover for them that they can be. This level of honesty is something that I think that we could all learn from. If you want to have the best sex you have ever had – a high level of honesty is one of the key things that will help you achieve it.

They also have a really healthy friends with benefits set up. It is neither controlling nor stifling, it is in no way forced. It is completely consensual on both sides of the table, and they both benefit from it.

I am not a fan of romantic comedies by any means, I would say if you are going to force yourself to watch one for some reason, you would do pretty well by choosing this one.
Thu, 15 Oct 2015 15:53:26 +0000 EdBennett 6420 at https://www.f-buddy.com https://www.f-buddy.com/blog/friends-benefits-2011-film#comments How To Be The Perfect Fuck Buddy https://www.f-buddy.com/blog/how-be-perfect-fuck-buddy

26 Apr 2015 - 11:08 | Tags: fuck buddies, how to be the perfect fuck buddy, casual sex, sex

Having a fuck buddy can mean different things to different people. Some people define a fuck buddy as just someone to have sex with once in a while. Others define a buddy as someone to have sex with but to also occasionally hang out with and help out with household stuff. The problem people often have with choosing a fuck buddy is that their definitions often differ. Below is a quick guide on how to be the perfect f-buddy, ensuring that you get the best out of any situation.

1. The Approach – Be Direct and Honest
The good thing about F-Buddy is that you can message someone you like the look of without the worry of wondering if they’re interested in sex or not. This isn’t a typical dating site. People aren’t here to ‘go out with someone and see how it goes’. People are here to hook up and have sex. The first piece of advice is to be direct with the people you’re messaging. Too many mistakes and complications arise by people not being honest with one another.

2. Find Out Where Your Partner Stands
Leading on from the being honest advice, it is important to find out what your partner wants. Is it just sex, or do they want to hang out as well? Finding out these details are crucial before you start having sex. It will prevent either party from getting hurt further down the line.

3. Don’t be Aggressive
This might work in the bedroom, but it will definitely not work on the approach. You need to be respectful of your potential buddy. Why would they want to sleep with someone acting like a cock?

4. Tell people about yourself
Explain why you’re on the site. Give a little background as to what’s happened in your life, whether or not you’ve just come out of a relationship, or if you just fancy being single and care free for a while. If people judge you then they’re idiots and not the right f-buddy for you. Most of the time though, you find that other people have a similar background and like to talk about it.

5. Don’t give up
A lot of people just give up the first time they get a knockback. Can you imagine what would happen to the human race if we all did that all the time? We wouldn’t get anywhere at all. Don’t let a negative response or no response get you down.
Sun, 26 Apr 2015 10:08:59 +0000 EdBennett 6366 at https://www.f-buddy.com https://www.f-buddy.com/blog/how-be-perfect-fuck-buddy#comments What makes a woman sexy? https://www.f-buddy.com/australia/blog/what-makes-woman-sexy

15 Apr 2015 - 12:34 | Tags: sexy women, casual sex, fuck buddies, what makes women sexy

Just looking at the many issues of Cosmo, Marie Clare and dozens of other women’s lifestyle mags is enough to give me a headache. Snarky sections of the media might have a go at us for ‘peddling casual sex’ but you only have to look at any of the above mags to know that all they do is talk about sex. It permeates every page. The top question that editors keep asking in many of the feature articles is what makes a woman sexy? It’s a fair question, but one that doesn’t have a straight answer. Men find different things sexy in a woman so we’ve tried to collate the top answers.

1. She’s Playful
This comes out time and time again in various men’s polls. At the end of the day a woman who is playful without being annoying can be the sexiest thing ever. Women who take themselves too seriously won’t really get much of a look in with most guys.

2. She’s beautiful
The definition of beauty is all over the place. Someone’s princess is another person’s frog. A woman who is beautiful usually dresses to flatter her figure (it doesn’t matter if it’s a dress or a pair of jeans), puts a bit of effort into her grooming (this doesn’t mean caking yourself in makeup) and someone who cares how men perceive her, even if she thinks the result isn’t very flattering. A beautiful woman is not someone who pouts and wears the shortest skirt possible.

3. Grown up about sex
Whether we want to do it sooner or later, we want a woman who is able to have a mature conversation about sex and not laugh at our ideas on desires and needs.

4. Likes and understands men
Is this really a surprise? Don’t women want a man who likes and understands them too? Well we want a woman who does the same.

5. Affectionate
Many women seem to think that being sexy is all about looking good. WRONG! We want you to be touching us, smiling at us, being silly around us; basically doing all the things you say you want us to do with you.

6. Knows how to say ‘Thank you’
Whether we’ve bought you dinner or just given you a mind blowing orgasm, it’s nice to receive some gratitude. You’d want the same from us.
Wed, 15 Apr 2015 11:34:36 +0000 EdBennett 6364 at https://www.f-buddy.com https://www.f-buddy.com/australia/blog/what-makes-woman-sexy#comments Casual Sex: How to protect your feelings https://www.f-buddy.com/blog/casual-sex-how-protect-your-feelings

13 Apr 2015 - 11:13 | Tags: casual sex rules, emotions and casual sex, casual sex, fuck buddies

Despite what millions of porn videos and films would have us believe, it is not that simple to distance emotion from sex. We’re all human beings and as human beings, we feel things. It only takes one little negative reply or text to get even the most jaded cynical person in the world crying into their hanky like a little boy. We bolster ourselves up and convince ourselves that we will never become the person who gets hurt in a casual hook up or romance. Yet we almost always do. The rare exceptions are those people completely incapable of opening themselves up to feeling. They try to purge their emotions but in so doing only end up hurting themselves. It doesn’t have to be like that though. Here are a few clever ways you can protect your feelings and still enjoy casual sex.

1. Go With the Flow
If you hook up with someone, have sex with them and find you liked them enough to do it again, do it. Let yourself be swept up into the excitement of having sex with a new person. Don’t run away from it if they want to see you again and if you want to see them again. Just see how it goes. Casual sex comes with an expiration date one way or the other so try not to worry about it.

2. Don’t over-think your texts
The worst thing people do in casual sex is to over think what they write in a text message. Instead of spending hours wondering how to let a fuck buddy you want to see them again, just tell them. If they don’t they won’t. If they like you they will. Just go with it.

3. Consider if Casual Sex is for you
We’d be stupid to say that casual sex is for everyone. Some people enjoy it, some people don’t. The trick is in knowing which person you are and the only way to find that out is to experiment with it. Have some casual sex and see how you feel. If you find you enjoy it, then by all means continue to enjoy it. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to do it again.

4. Be Clear and Honest with your partners
The big mistake most people engaging in casual sex make is not being honest with their partners about what they want and how they feel. It’s unfair not to let someone you’re having sex with know how you’re feeling. Be honest from the outset. You can hurt yourself and your fuck buddies if you aren’t.

5. Watch the Regularity
This seems a counterintuitive remark considering we encouraged you to go with the flow, but it’s important not to become too accustomed to sex with the same person in casual relationships. The whole point of casual sex is that it’s casual. Hooking up once every couple of weeks is fine, but the more regular the hook up, the more chance one or both of you have of getting attached becomes. Humans are natural bonding creatures. That’s not a bad thing. But if you’re looking just for casual sex, you really don’t want to be sleeping with the same person on a very regular basis.
Mon, 13 Apr 2015 10:13:57 +0000 EdBennett 6363 at https://www.f-buddy.com https://www.f-buddy.com/blog/casual-sex-how-protect-your-feelings#comments
