Safe Sex in Casual Relationships

We’ve talked about this a lot, but the latest stats show that more than 1 in 3 people have unprotected sex with a new partner. We’re not here to judge anyone for their choices, but we would like to advise our members on the best ways to enjoy sex with a new partner for the first time.

1. Use a Condom
You can get ultra light and thin condoms now. They’re so good now that couples have trouble telling the difference between using a condom and not using one. Google the net to find a brand that’s good for you. There are hundreds to choose from. When you’re having sex with someone for the first time, you simply don’t know who else they’ve had sex with. They might be 100% genuine in what they say, but it’s safer and more trustworthy when a new partner actually insists on using a condom the first few times.

2. Keep your feet on the ground
It’s easy to get whisked away in the physicality of sex with someone new. You’re turned on, they’re turned on. Try and remember your brain before having sex. It will stop you from making any mistakes.

3. Don’t trust anyone if you find out they’ve lied on their profile
If someone has lied about anything on their profile – and we mean ANYTHING – do not trust them when they tell you about their sexual background. If they’ve lied about their height, age or situation, who’s to say they haven’t lied about something else?

4. Report anyone who harasses you on the site
We want all our members to be safe, so please report anyone who harasses you with unwanted messages, texts etc. Use your judgment and don’t ever think you’re being paranoid.

5. Don’t do anything you’re not comfortable with
S&M and Kink can be fun, but don’t do anything you’re uncomfortable with. Communicate clearly with your partner what you will and will not do in and out of the bedroom.

Safe sex isn’t just about using condoms and contraceptives; it’s about feeling comfortable and being safe in all your sexual experiences. If anyone violates your trust, drop them like lead. You’re here to have fun, not experience unwanted drama.
